Assessments or Evaluations are tools to help determine if you have a substance use and/or mental health issue. Recovery 4 Life employs licensed therapists to administer the following:
State GAIN Assessments – Court ordered clients are mandated by The State of Idaho to complete the GAIN (Global Appraisal of Individual Needs) assessment. Recovery 4 Life staff are certified in administrating the GAIN. The GAIN takes approximately 3.5 hours to complete.
CANS Assessment – Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths Assessment is designed as a multi-purpose tool for assessing children and adolescents for service planning. This assessment can take up to 2 hours and Recovery 4 Life is certified in the administration of this assessment.
Substance Abuse Assessment – For clients who are not required to complete a GAIN, Recovery 4 Life has developed a Substance Use Assessment which is effective in capturing a clear picture of a client’s current and past history with substance use and is able to determine a level of care. A Substance Use Assessment takes approximately 2 hours to complete.
Mental Health Assessments – Mental Health Assessments take the form of a CDA (Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessment) and also captures a clear picture of a client’s present and past history including health, physical, family and childhood.
